The high point for me on the Volvo Ocean Race for me? Sailing into Lanzarote for the first time on a VO70 with Magnus Olsson driving, seeing how amazing the boat was, and the race and realising I was sold I wasn’t going back to the Olympics. Has this race changed me? I think it just shows you who you really are, it teaches you about yourself. you get to know yourself at your lowest point, with no sleep, you’re cold, tired and you have to deal with other people it shows you who you are at that moment.  I stepped off the boat after Leg 5 and I said to one of our my shore crew never never again, but a few months later, with everything we’ve learnt and with the leg win, it shows we can do this race. It feels like we’re now ready to start this race.
